The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon Phandu T.C Skelemani hosted a farewell Dinner in honor of Cuban Ambassador Her Excellency, Ms. Patricia Pego Guerra.
During the farewell dinner the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Skelemani asserted that Botswana has benefited a lot in terms of bilateral relations with Cuba. He further added that even in areas of liberation Batswana were aided a lot and that the contribution made by Cuban government in many areas has always been immensely.
In her response, Ambassador Guerra thanked the Hon Speaker for his gesture and reminded him that both countries are now celebrating their 44th anniversary on bilateral relations. She further concluded that she will continue to strengthen and support the bilateral relations between both countries.
 
 
A delegation from KONRAD Foundation, made up of mostly politicians; electoral officers; policy makers and civil society from 15 different countries paid a courtesy call on Ntlo ya Dikgosi.
The objective of the visit was to appreciate the history of Ntlo Ya Dikgosi, its mandate and functions. The Secretary of Ntlo ya Dikgosi, Mr. Moroka Moreri presented on the evolution of the House of Chiefs to the current Ntlo ya Dikgosi. The delegation was led by Mr. Christoph Plate from South Africa.
The President Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi will deliver his annual State of the Nation Address (SONA) at Parliament Buildings this afternoon, which also begins the 1st Meeting of the 3rd Session of the 12th Parliament.
