BOTSWANA INSTITUTE FOR DEVELOPMENT POLICY ANALYSIS (BIDPA) BRIEFS PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE ON FINANCE, TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) met the Parliamentary portfolio on Finance, Trade and Economic Development to give expert opinion on the upcoming Gambling (Amendment) Bill Number 15 of 2026. The Bill which will be brought to Parliament by the Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship intends to amend the Gambling Authority Act in order to align it with the Financial Intelligence Act and the Financial Task Force standards by adequately covering anti-money laundering set standards and requirements and consequently reducing the risk of financial crimes.
